Fix Fortnite Game Error Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item
Step 1) Restart your PC
Step 2) Run Epic Games Launcher as an administrator
Step 3) Untick administrator for all the game exe file with Run in Windows 8 compatibility mode and disable full screen optimization
Step 4) Clear Fortnite & Epic's cache files
Step 5) Allow full control to all the game exe files
Step 6) Update Windows
Step 7) Run the game as an administrator
Step 8) Uninstall and reinstall BattlEye
Step 9) If you have Bullguard anti-virus, then go to advanced settings, then under "General - Main" uncheck the box that says "allow bullguard to protect its components against termination". You'll have to restart your PC
Step 10) Allow the game exe file to your antivirus program such as Avast, Norton, Bitdefender, Mac A Fee, F-secure, Spybot, Eset and HitmanPro antiviruses
Step 11) Windows Insider Program users: Go to windows update settings and find the "Recovery" option. Use the "Go back" option to revert to the previous insider build.
Step 12) If you have any game which has Battleye (PUBG) the rename the BEService_x64.exe in Fortnite and the copy the BEService_x64.exe from another game and paste it to the Fortnite
Step 13) Take the ownership of game folder
Step 14) Verify the game files
Step 15) Reset your PC (You will lose all the data and application)
