Various reports revealed that the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 have used CMOS batteries as double-duty DRM.
I will be explaining why this is a blow to video game preservation, and to a further extent, Limited Run Games, Strictly Limited Games and the like.
All of this, while I play the recently released English Nintendo Switch Port of Trails of Cold Steel IV.
