"Play Has No Limits" One of Sony's BS Lies as PS5 CMOS DRM Restrictions Revealed
The first six months of the PS5 has seen unprecedented events in the gaming industry.
With the pandemic still going strong a year after it started, scalpers continue to buy up all available stock of the PlayStation 5, both the "console" and the "digital" variants. The launch lineup was made mostly of games that were also playable on PS4 and other platforms, and one of the exclusives, Spider-Man: Miles Morales continued the War on Escapism (a.k.a. Identity Politics/Identity Socialism in Gaming). There were many system-breaking glitches that plagued the PS5, such as random software crashes, GPU artifacting, and self-corrupting SSDs.
Enter 2021. Sony has downsized all other studios that are "not profitable" to them (or continuing the Crusade Against Japanese Culture that Sony has started a few years back), and there has been a recent discovery by someone on Twitter that the PS5 uses the most restrictive of CMOS DRM: Always-Online Connectivity.
You cannot even do ANYTHING on the PS5 without an internet connection, and with internet traffic still at an all-time high despite many places in the United States reopening, I will explain why Sony's many blunders in the past half year might be one of the factors that might cause another video game industry recession.
