Fixing and playing The Need for Speed(Windows 95) to run on Windows 10/7/8.1/8/Vista
If you just want proof and want to learn how to run it, watch till 9:39.
So in a previous video, I made this game to work but through DOSBox. Many people still think it is not possible to run this game on new Windows NT code. But actually the reality is the drivers, my PC had the problem with the headphone and mic driver, and when installed, the game won't start. My headphone and mic used a C-Media chipset and the driver wasn't signed by Microsoft. So as a result, I decided to uninstall it and the next moment, the game worked. Also remember that you should not install drivers through Windows Update if you have knowledge about driver installation. Disable the setting in Advanced System Setting that updates driver through Windows Update.
The way to install the game is without DOSBox is to copy all the files from CD and put them somewhere in a folder. After that download: http://www.mediafire.com/file/spi219x36hzsdb0/PATHS.DAT/file
and put it in GAMEDATA/CONFIG folder. Open the file with a Hex editor and then replace all instances of the directory "J:\" with your CD drive, say X:\. If you don't change it game won't run at all.
Enough talk, now the files:
