Mitchell attacks Al Biruni by attacking Matt Parker and his colleague Hannah attempting to recreate it - in London. Hannah describes a working assumption that for the short distance they are using, they can treat the Earth as if it is flat. Mitchell interprets that to mean that if they assume it for short distance, somehow that makes it a fact for large distances.
