Ah, classic games. Remember watching Samus take off her helmet in Metroid? How about exploring Azeroth in World of Warcraft with your friends? There are so many classics that have provided countless hours of pleasure, even as they’re revisited years later. However, nothing is perfect and as time passes, some of the flaws governing classics can become all the more glaring.

Now, before you assemble peacefully with hidden pitchforks and rocks, I’m not hating or even diminishing how great or influential these games have been. And it’s worth noting that there are plenty of classic games that aren’t on this list that have major flaws. It’s just worth taking a look at some classics with flaws that require more than nostalgia to forgive.
