FlyByWire A320 RTX3070 MSFS 2020 VR Flight Quest 2 Virtual Desktop SteamVR settings included HiDef
I want to mention that I record this directly on the Quest headset so that takes some of the fps while recording. Smoother when not recording.
I received a request to show what the Airbus 320 from FlyByWire would look like with my settings for VR. I had to change what I normally use for settings. I loaded this plane about an hour before I started flying it. I guess it will get me ready for when I get the heavy that I want.
I depart from JFK airport as was requested. Three different scenarios: 1. flying at night with some clouds, 2. flying in the evening with some clouds, and 3. flying during the day with a thunderstorm.
00:00 Depart Night JFK
01:43 Depart Sunset JFK
Flights above NY City. Photogrammetry enabled
05:15 Depart Thunderstorm JFK (Check that crosswind)
07:53 Cockpit Walk Around
08:27 Settings
This is a nice plane, just not one I would care to fly often. Very well made and executed! Much more system resources needed to make it smooth and look good. I spent a couple hours tweaking it and may do some more, but I was satisfied with the performance.
I have never seen a good way to get fps in SteamVR so I use two external references to guage performance, lights/lines on the rwy and the clouds. I look for how smoothly and quickly they go by. That so far for me has been a great way to tell if the flight will have smooth graphics.
I inlcude some screenshots of the settings that I am using in the video.
