Description: What is Mad Virus Attack?
Mad Virus Attack is a fan-creation that takes a different spin on the established lore and story of 8-bit, from Brawl Stars.
The protagonists this time around are Boyfriend and Girlfriend, a lovey-dovey couple you may or may not be familiar with. The two somehow end up inside an arcade game, where they must uncover the truth about why the game is crumbling down, whilst fighting a Mad Virus and helping out 8-bit on his quest. You take control of Boyfriend, who in his newly acquired Starrcade tech, partakes in "battles", consisting of singing-based rhythm gameplay.
The visuals were inspired by 8-bit's secret minigames from Brawl Stars.
What can I play right now?
A few months ago, we have released a very short demo, containing one song. It is available for download if you scroll up in this same page, though keep in mind it is VERY unfinished and a lot of what you see in that build will NOT make its way to the next releases.
(Developer note: it feels especially weird to come back to this release after seeing how much it has all changed, so please, if you end up playing it, do not take the mod at face value.)
What is coming next?
As of now, we have been working on a new update to that demo, which we titled Mad Virus Attack V2. It overhauls almost EVERYTHING from that build, though in terms of new songs, it's not as big as it may seem.
Story Mode will NOT be finished upon the release of V2, and a lot of content we have been working on will not be ready either, which is why we have yet another update planned for AFTER this one. The so-called Mad Virus Attack V3, that is (if we keep up the naming convention). It will most likely be the final version of the game.
The reason why we're developing the game like this? We just found that releasing content in "waves" would be more interesting and will not leave our fans craving for content for too long.
