FoEhints: Dynamic Tower in Forge of Empires
In my video about great buildings in Forge of Empires, I did not say much positive about the Dynamic Tower. Many players said that this great building is much better.
Especially Capoeira brought up a very interesting idea, saying that the Dynamic Tower is a very interesting great building for beginners. I want to share his idea with you. Possibly this is a good inspiration for you as well.
Let us start to take a detailed look on the Dynamic Tower.
When the Dynamic Tower was published, it was the first great building with an animation. This looks great and for some players this is already a reason to build it.
Then this building provides goods every day.
The relevant fact is: You motivate or polish a building of a friend, neighbor or guildmate and you receive a random good of the age of that building. On level 1 of the Dynamic Tower this is limited to 12 times per day. On level 10 it is already 39 times per day.
Capoeira's idea: Assume a player is in the Early Middle Ages. This player makes a deal with a player in the Tomorrow Era or above, offering him 500 forge points and bronze age goods for the goods, needed to build the Dynamic Tower. While using all his forge points to pay this player during a couple of weeks, he adds a lot of players from Tomorrow Era and above to his friendslist. He motivates and polishes their tomorrow buildings. To avoid motivating the wrong building do not press the 'Aid' button. Instead open the city and check that the motivated building is from tomorrow. After a couple of weeks you will have all blueprints needed to build the Dynamic Tower and you possibly will have payed the player you are dealing with by donating these 500 forge points into his great buildings. If a single blueprint is missing you can buy it with diamonds or continue to motivate and polish or you support Dynamic Towers of guildmates and friends to get the blueprints as a sponsor.
Once your Dynamic Tower is built, this player will receive 12 times per day a good when motivating or polishing buildings of other players. This is on top of the coins and the chance to get a blueprint. Let us assume that this player now changes his friendslist to contain more players from the Future Era to motivate or polish Future Era buildings now. Then he will receive 12 goods of the Future Era, divided on the 5 different goods of the Future Era. Such players often can also be found in the guild. Doing this for a while he also gets blueprints of the Future Era's great buildings, including the Arc. And after a while he can build the Arc while still being in Early Middle Ages.
Instead of spending these goods for a great building he also could start to trade these goods. He waits until he has 10 goods of a type and trades it for 20 goods of the lower Age, which is Tomorrow. E. g. he places an offer in the market giving 10 Purified Water for 20 Translucent Concrete of the Era Tomorrow. These he then trades for 40 Robots of the Contemporary Era. Then he trades them for 80 Steel from the Postmodern Era, these for 160 Ferroconcrete of the Modern Era, these for 320 Tinplate of the Progressive Era, these for 640 Rubber from the Industrial Age, these for 1,280 Tar from the Colonial Age, these for 2,560 goods from the Late Middle Ages, these for 5,120 goods of the High Middle Ages and finally he will have more goods of the Early Middle Ages than he will be able to use, without building a single goods building of the Early Middle Ages.
With the next trade chain he trades the goods required for High Middle Ages and so on. In theory this player will never need a single goods building. He just relies in his Dynamic Tower. This is a very extreme idea that I wanted to share with you.
Players following this inspiration recognized that it is not possible to trade the ratio 1 for 2. They had to adopt to 1:1,5 often to avoid waiting too long for players to accept the trade. Also it has to be mentioned that this trade chain will no longer work properly if too many players try to do the same. The trade capacity is very limited as all traded goods must have been produced before by someone. But Capoeira's idea can be a good inspiration, especially for more experienced players who want to start a second city doing something completely different than before.
