FoEhints: Fel Dranghyr, Bronze Age Province in Forge of Empires
Conquering the sectors in this second province of the game will reward you with coins and supplies. You should not have many lost units as the rewards are very humble.
Sector 1
Let us start with the lower left sector. The opponent does not have a complete team, so 8 spear fighters should be a great answer.
As usual I place the spear fighters into bushes and forests. Then I wait for the opponent to come, not moving forward too much. The horseman attacks first. My spear fighters take advantage of the field bonus plus the unit specific bonus of light units against fast units. This enables me to eliminate that horseman fast.
The opponent has a warrior. This heavy unit has a specific bonus against light units as my spear fighters. This makes him to be a serious opponent. I use the field bonus for my first attack. As additional attacks in the same round against the same target do not cause additional retaliation damage, I can also use normal fields for these. In deed I need four hits to kill this single warrior with my Spear Fighters.
The opponent's spear fighter and slinger are no real hurdles as I have a clear majority. The two Spear Fighters that I lost are replaced within seconds.
Sector 2
The lower right sector is looking similar to the previous sector, only the horseman is missing. As always I use the bonus fields. I do not attack the warrior without using a bonus field. I first move all my units a bit closer towards the opponent. The first hit against that warrior I make from a bonus field bushes. The other hits in the same round can be performed from other field types.
Again I have lost 2 Spear Fighters, which are replaced quikly.
Sector 3
The upper sector is defended by 3 Spear Fighters and 1 Slinger. I use a Stone Thrower that I received just before as a reward. There is not a real risk to lose it.
The huge range of the Stone Thrower forces the opponent to come to my side very fast. In case he would wait on his side, he would be hit once per round while I also wait on my side. Even if a Stone Thrower only makes little damage, constant dripping wears away the stone.
As usual I use the field bonuses for my Spear Fighters using them to block the opponent from reaching my Stone Thrower.
Stone Throwers have a little bonus from hills. Unfortunately there are no hills around, but I move the unit towards the hills to take that advantage in the next round. In the second round I just forgot to do that. These first fights are so easy to win that it does not make a difference. In future fights this can make the difference between loss and win.
Using the field bonuses I again lose 2 Spear Fighters only. Congratulations. This province is conquered.
