FoEhints: Updated Summer Event Buildings 2018 in Forge of Empires
121The Summer Event 2018 brings some new buildings to Forge of Empires. In the meantime these buildings have been modified by InnoGames. This is why I decided to publish this new version of the video.
Three of them you can win as a prize on the wheel of fortune.
The Hammock is a decoration with 2 x 2 tiles size and offers much more happiness than premium decorations of the same size and age. It can be polished and then the happiness is doubled for 12 hours. Especially in the lower ages this temporarily can help to achieve the required happiness to make your population enthusiastic. When advancing to higher ages this decoration would need a one up kit or a renovation kit to be competitive with other decorations. But this is not worth it. These kits are just to valuable. Therefore the Hammock will not remain long in most cities.
The Sunken Treasure is a production building with a 3 x 2 size. Comparable to the Sacred Sky Watch it can deliver 1 forge point every day, but without the other advantages of the Sacred Sky Watch, population and coins. But the Sunken Treasure is a production building and therefore it offers 6 production options. I like most the possibility to receive 5 current goods every 8 hours. Especially in the Modern Era and above this is very interesting as it does not require unrefined goods. The building is very small and can provide a good share of the goods a player needs. I also want to mention the very good supply production. 16,117 supplies every 4 hours is very good compared to the 5,030 supplies of a much bigger junk yard.
The extremely high medal output mentioned in the previous version of the video has been reduced to a normal level.
The Stranded Boat is a 4 x 2 residential building which provides half as much population as normal residential buildings. On top it produces less medals than a victory tower.
Summary: From these 3 buildings I am convinced of the Sunken Treasure only. But this I like a lot.
Then there is the dominant new building of the Summer Event 2018, The Ship. You receive The Ship by completing quest 4 of the event quest line and as one of the 4 options of the all Selection Kits, available as Golden Prizes.
The Ship will not be in the ocean near your city. Instead it will be built as a normal building in your city. On level 1 it is a rowing boat in a pond and provides a little population and a few coins. If motivated the number of coins is doubled and on top it also produces supplies.
The Ship then can be upgraded with the Ship Upgrade Kit. Bringing it to level 2 doubles the related population and beside all other produced things it also gives medals if motivated.
On level 3 the properties again are increased plus one forge point..
On level 4 you also get 5 goods of the current age if the building has been motivated.
On level 5 you get a second forge point and on level 6 you get 10 instead of 5 goods every day. In the meantime also the values for population, coins and supplies grew in way that it is better than normal buildings in the city. Now this building is good, but not exceptional.
A completely new feature in Forge of Empires is the possibility to make a decision when upgrading to the seventh and last level. In all 3 version the values for population, coins, supplies and medals are increased.
On top each of these 3 ships on level 7 has a unique boost:
Pirate Ship: 8% attack boost
Royal Ship: 10% coin boost
Traders Ship: 10% supply boost
The Royal Ship then produces 6 forge points every day. From the Trader Ship you 'only' receive 3 forge points, but as a compensation the number of goods is doubled from 10 to 20. The Pirate Ship is a mix of both providing 4 forge points and 15 goods.
Hardcore fighters will make a clear decision for the Pirate Ship. You can never have enough attack bonus. For some players the design of the Pirate Ship makes the decision. Everybody else will most likely decide for the Royal Ship. Especially for the ages before the Modern Era goods can be produced cheap. From the Modern Era and up the Traders Ship could be interesting as receiving 20 goods of the current age without requiring unrefined goods can be an advantage. If you don't know which ship is best for you, decide for the forge points, which is the Royal Ship. And all ships will look great in your city.
