The Montgolfier event ist still running. But as the winter event will last 35 days, it necessarily must start very soon. Of course the winter event will have it's own video clip. But some information I want to provide upfront to enable players ton prepare for the event.
I recommend to step into a new era before the event starts as all gifts are better then, according to the new age. On the 11th and 19th day of the event, researching a new technology is one possibility to solve the daily quest. In a new era this shouldn't be a problem.
Take care that you have a 3x3 building space available during the event. You will need it on the first and the ninth day of the event.
On the fifth day you have to infiltrate three sectors. At that moment you should have a province scouted having enough sectors available. The next day you have to take two sectors without fight. On the 13th day another three sectors have to be conquered. On the 16th and 23rd day you have to gain control over a new province. In higher ages this can take a while and needs to be prepared.
Generally I recommend to not trade winter stars to gifts bimmediately. Collect them until good gifts are available. Especially the rogue hideout and the shrine of knowledge are recommended.
During the event do not waste time until collecting from the city hall as you always receive 10 winter stars. And you do not want to waste some.
At this time we only can wait until the event starts. I wish everybody luck when opening the gifts.
