For those having trouble getting past the first level in The Mission (PS1)
9I was highly motivated by watching Sean Seanson's recent episode of his show about the Obscure & Forgotten PlayStation games, which, shockingly enough, featured a game I did a full walkthrough of very long ago. Although I, like many others incl. Sean himself who tried to play it, both in the past and present, intiially struggled of getting past the game's most critical turning-off point, the very first level, which involved hitting the fusebox after retrieving the Geo-Merlin within 80 seconds (or less depending on the diffculty, I played it on Easy as I did back then), I was able to figure out how to get past it. Yet unlike Sean though, I did not have a real copy of the game, nor did I ever had or even find the manual for it anywhere online, leading me to figure this one move out, all on my own. With the existence of OBS Studio, the GamePad Viewer and RetroArch, and using the VSDC Video Editor to make this short, I have decided to revisit the game and clearly showcase the way for potential first-time players like you of how you can get past the first level, for those who, like me, want to save their money from buying this awful game for their collection and simply try and play it through. Enjoy this sweet little short, and go watch the original Nike Commercial after watching this (And also watch the Cross Training ad featuring Leo Taku and Lara Croft after that too, while you're at it. Both of these classic Nike ads are totally worth it!).
