The Forever Winter takes the player into a destroyed, yet detailed and evocative world, but the game design has one simple and fatal problem that will push all but the most dedicated players away.

Forever Winter is an extraction shooter set in a dystopian, war ravaged future world where life is bleak and surviving is a challenge. The player takes the roles of a insignificant scavenger caught up in between greater powers fighting for dominance in a war that its origin has long been forgotten.

The player will make his way across battlefields, avoiding contact with numerous other better equipped groups, and try to make it away with battlefield loot such as pieces of technology, weapons, medical equipment and most importantly.... water

The water system in Forever Winter is probably one of it's most distinctive gameplay mechanics that will probably be polarizing. In the video I'll talk about the state of the water systems when the game was released on early access on Steam. The developers have recently announced changes to the water system, in response to player feedback.
