Formula 1 Manager 2022 - Part 21 - Race 20 - New Driver Contracts & Issues Involving Them . . .
2. . . Sorry about the commentary level in the previous F1 video & this video . . . Different games need to be on different volume levels and I got it wrong on these 2 (as I do them in 2's) - so, you'll barely hear me talk on either one most of the time . . .
As per my 3 driver contract negotiation before this race - sadly Latifi (74) wanted far too much of a raise at his lower experience level, and wanted a 3 season contract including upping his salary, and various bonuses for points, qualifying, re-signing fee, etc, too . . . So, as he wouldn't take the same, or less, I went out and hired Magnussen (80) to take his place in Car 1 instead - who is at the same driver level as Albon (80) . . . My Reserve driver Aitken also wanted too many increases as well - so he went the same way in contract talks as well, so he's also been swapped out now for Doohan who is higher than he is also . . . Albon did finally accept new contract terms with a bit added on here and there - so at least I'm safe as far as having drivers for the next season or longer for now . . .
Here, in this race, you will quickly see the difference this has made to the team - Magnusson is hammering it for me & even Qualifying - whereas Albon with his new contract has apparently given up trying to drive at all for the moment for some odd reason . . . So it's Magnusson who I have to count on right now for any further point gains - unless Albon starts to drive better for me again . . .
