Hello everyone, I'm Fail and with Forza Horizon 5's last expansion out, It's time to start looking towards the future. in today's video, we're once again going to discuss where Forza Horizon 6 will be set? Mexico provided us with what was and is a map with some excellent landscapes including the jungly area and the volcano, the desert and Guanajuato, and of course, some rather fun roads to drive on. But what about the next installment? Where will Playground Games take us next?
Well, one of the most popular and controversial suggestions is Dubai, the city of skyscrapers, supercars, and sand. Dubai is a fascinating place that would have a lot to offer for a Horizon festival. But is it really a good choice? Let's find out. Personally I doubt FH6 would be set in Dubai, but it's been requested a lot so this video will focus on some arguments for and against Dubai being chosen as a location.
First of all, let's talk about why Dubai could be a great location for Forza Horizon 6. Dubai is known for its incredible architecture, from the iconic Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, to the Palm Jumeirah, the artificial island shaped like a palm tree. Driving around these landmarks and admiring the views would be rather cool.
Another reason why Dubai could be awesome for Forza Horizon 6 is the car culture. Dubai is home to some of the most expensive and exotic cars in the world, from Bugattis to Lamborghinis to crazy modified jeeps which would suit Forza, often criticized for having a lack of everyday cars like fiestas or corollas, excellently . You could see these cars on the streets, in the festival, or even in as police cars.
The third reason I'd give is that a few countries in that part of the world including the UAE are currently investing huge amounts of money into absolutely crazy projects to attract visitors to their countries so I could easily imagine there being some financial inventives to set the game there as it would bring some more exposure and fix the area into the hearts and minds of forza players all over the world.
So far so good, right? Well, not so fast. Dubai also has some issues that I think make it an unlikely choice for Forza Horizon 6. Let's see why.
One of the main reasons why Dubai could wouldn't an ideal location for Forza Horizon 6 is the lack of diversity, which which the devs won't like, considering how proud they were that FH5 was [diverse]. Dubai is a very modern and artificial city that has been built mostly in the last few decades. I don't want to sound like a broken record, but a map based around a huge city quite simply isn't going to happen. In Dubai's Case this is an even bigger problem as the region doesn't have much natural variety. Most of the scenery is either a desert, man-made or imported from somewhere else. This could make Dubai feel bland and boring after a while.
Another big reason why Dubai doesn't make sense for Forza Horizon 6 are political slash social and ethical issues. Dubai has some strict laws and isn't exactly the most progressive of nations. Forza was very proud of it's gender inclusivity options when horizon 5 came out and gave us a car with rainbows on it and a decision to set the game in the UAE or similar countries could reflect badly on playground games and more importantly Microsoft and make Dubai feel unappealing and unethical for a game that is supposed to be about celebrating life and diversity.
