Forza Motorsport 2 - Arcade Mode Playthrough - Part 1 - Exhibition Races 1-5
Time to continue my playthrough of all the Forza games! After completing the arcade mode of Forza Motorsport 1 I will now move on to FM2, where I will also begin with the arcade mode. In FM2 the arcade mode consists of 15 exhibition races and 25 time trial challenges. Here you can see me doing the first 5 exhibition races, using obscure cars from some of the slower car classes.
Timeline:

In FM1 the arcade mode had 31 races but in FM2 it is split into 15 races and 25 time trial challenges. In each race you can unlock 3 cars for bronze, silver and gold and in each time trial you can unlock one car by beating the target time.
For the first 5 exhibition races I went with obscure cars from some of the slower car classes. Especially the Saturn and the Proto are probably cars that many people will have never even heard of before.
Unfortunately the AI in FM2 is very slow, at least in these exhibition races, so you won't see any close battles in this playthrough. I will still upload it anyway though, so that people who are curious about this game will be able to watch it.
In terms of tracks FM2 is unfortunately already missing a lot that were in FM1 but it also has a few new ones. Alpine Ring, Blue Mountains, Fujimi Kaido, Pacific Shipyard, Tokyo, Rio and the long version of New York from FM1 have all disappeared but instead Suzuka, Sebring and Mugello are making their first appearance and we also got a ton of variations of the Test Track, which are named after snakes like Death Adder, Copperhead and a lot more. Maybe one of the developers was a fan of Razer mice. :P
In terms of graphics the jump from FM1 to FM2 might be the biggest one between two Forza games, simply because of the resolution. I also really like the handling, which is more arcade than in the recent Forza Motorsport games. In terms of cars most from FM1 seem to still be there, which is awesome.
I will be showing my full playthrough of the FM2 arcade mode, which should once again take me 6 videos. In part 2 you will see the next 5 exhibition races, using interesting cars from the faster road car classes.
