I think the localization of this game probably just copied the script from the original games release in 2010 and tweaked things here and there. In the original japanese, Brother is supposed to be kind of insane in how he comes across as hopelessly naive and helpful and optimistic. Don't really get that so much in this version. I'm assuming that's because they took dialog written to be coming out of the mouth of a 40 year old world weary Dad and just tweaked it slightly.
