A similar time is possible using a second character to open the tear like Lavaeolus does, but the only benefit it has is skipping Afia's pistol shot on the custodes which is a really tiny amount of time and it comes at the cost of having to multitask between characters, which in my couple of attempts slowed me down more than it helped. Using solo Afia makes it a lot easier to get optimal movement

I'm slightly annoyed that Afia can't shoot the iudex from the beach even though she can blink to them. Both abilities rely on line-of-sight and pistols have a longer range than blink so I don't understand why it doesn't work
