Game description:

Plot
After receiving a mysterious message Dan Diamond, PI, travels to the indicated address to find a large crypt looming out of the darkness of an eerie graveyard. The door is open but as Diamond steps forward the ground gives way and Diamond finds himself trapped in Franklin's Tomb. As Diamond you must unlock the puzzle of the tomb and escape, but will escape bring you closer to the one who is asking for your help?

Notes
Released at a time when text adventures were beginning to include graphical illustrations, Franklin's Tomb was one of the first adventures to circumvent the problem of graphics taking up memory by keeping the program text only and having locations and items of interest illustrated within the manual. Not only did this avoid wasting memory, but the illustrations could be more highly detailed than an 8-bit computer could achieve. This detail allowed the artist to hide clues in some of the illustrations.
