Don’t miss Season 8 Episode 5 (Rewriting History) featuring UK Rap Legend ‘Fredi Kruga’ as we invited him to receive his well deserved flowers for his contribution to not only the UK music industry, but the film industry also. Rapper, actor, director, father; there’s seems to be not much that this black king can’t do.
Fredi talked us through his life story so far; hailing from Brixton, south London, he had a tough upbringing filled with racism. Having been fostered in Kent as a baby to white foster parents, confusion became his best friend. Back in Brixton at 9 years old, he grew up with more than a chip on his shoulder but his love for music kept him on a straight path.
He was the only British rapper to be signed to the Wu Tang Clan and before that he was a bodyguard for many years and has looked after ‘Biggie Smalls’, ‘TLC’, ‘Donnel Jones’ and ‘50 Cent’.
Later, he began acting and has acted in several movies. Fredi wrote, produced and directed several short films as well as two feature films. He is also the CEO of ‘Gridloc Enterprise Ltd’ which produces films and TV content as well as an events agency ‘Nwaka Nights’.
We then put him through his ‘RTM Fire Round’ before getting into some ‘Current Affairs’ and the main subject was ‘Rewriting History’. There was a break for the ‘RTM Banter’ at some point and the ‘Book Suggestion’ and ‘RTM Dilemma’ closed the show as usual.
Yet another Realer Than Most conversation with lots of banter, real talk and full transparency.
