In this Applied Visual Design lesson we dive into tertiary colors. We learn more color theory and are taught about the primary colors we hear so much about RGB (red, green, and blue) We are taught that this model is called the "additive color model" in the modern theory of color. The mixing of two primary colors creates secondary colors. We are taught another gem of wisdom which is that the primary color not used in creating a secondary color can be used to complement that secondary color. In other words, if you make cyan with green and blue, red would complement it. When we think of colors in this way, it can help us create beautiful pages that catch our viewers eye and subconscious mind.
