Freespace 2: Phantoms - A Declaration of War
0This is the fifth and final mission of the Phantoms campaign for the Freespace Port. It is early 2335 at the close of the Terran-Vasudan War and the dawn of the Great War against the Shivans. We occupy the character of a Terran pilot assigned to the GTD Amadeus. We are in the Vega system, facing off against the mysterious new fighters that have been attacking all over the system. The Amadeus has been ordered to withdraw to Beta Aquilae for repair and refit The new Avenger cannon is being distributed to the fleet but has not reached our unit yet; however our sensor packages have been adjusted to track the Shivans on radar. Due to the weakened state of the Amadeus, we are assigned to scout the jump node to Beta Aquilae to ensure that the destroyer can make the transit without falling under Shivan attack.
The final mission is not voice acted for some reason. I am told that a voice acted version exists somewhere, but I've been unable to find it. If it ever makes it onto Knossos I'll play it with the voice acting for the channel.
