This is the second mission of the Phantoms campaign for the Freespace Port. It is early 2335 at the close of the Terran-Vasudan War and the dawn of the Great War against the Shivans. We occupy the character of a Terran pilot assigned to the GTD Amadeus. We are in the Vega system, facing off against the PVD Temperance. Command plans to move to secure both the Deneb and Capella jump nodes to trap the Temperance in the system to prevent it from moving against the GTD Galatea's offensive in Antares, and in the best case open a second front in Deneb. Having destroyed the Vasudan presence in orbit of Vega III, we are now tasked with escorting the GTC Salieri as it occupies the planetary orbit. Sporadic Vasudan fighter patrols have already been encountered. We must maintain our escort until relieved.
