This is the third mission of Shrouding the Light for the Freespace Port. We occupy the role of a junior Vasudan pilot freshly reassigned to the PVD Guardian about a year after the Lucifer's destruction and the severing of the Sol jump node. We have been reassigned to the 13th Battlegroup in Deneb to combat the Hammer of Light forces in that system. The Hammer of Light's primary base of operations is proving elusive, so the PVC Roc, a specially modified Aten cruiser with an advanced sensor suite, is jumping around the Deneb asteroid belt scanning the area. Our wing is to take a shift escorting the Roc at one such stopover. Our primary task will be to keep asteroids off of the cruiser, but of course if any opportunistic Hammer of Light craft should attack, it will be our responsibility to see them off.
