This is the ninth mission of Shrouding the Light for the Freespace Port. We occupy the role of a junior Vasudan pilot freshly reassigned to the PVD Guardian about a year after the Lucifer's destruction and the severing of the Sol jump node. We have been reassigned to the 13th Battlegroup in Deneb to combat the Hammer of Light forces in that system. The Terran 9th Fleet's surviving cruisers have all shut down for refit and rearmament at the same time for some reason, and have requested the Vasudan Directorate send fighters to cover them while they do this. The Hammer of Light is nearly certain to attack since the Terran warships are incapable of defending themselves while their replenishment is ongoing. We must defend the cruiser group, no matter how insulting their commodore may or may not be.
