Freespace of Legends
I built a MOBA-like level in FRED2 with the Blue Planet package. You play on the side of the UEF, your enemy are the TEVs. The more time passes, the more and more stronger units enter the battlefield. Goal is to destroy the GTD Atreus before the hostile forces can destroy the UED Solaris.
There are a bunch of random factors and a bunch of chain reactions built into the mission. While repetitions of capital ship wings will launch every five minutes (Aeolos - Deimos - Hyperion - Serkr, then Hit&Run strikes of the Aquitaine, Imperieuse and Carthage), the player can, depending on difficulty setting and opportunity, choose to send in reinforcements, which will for a short time boost your own team's strength but usually come with a price. For example, calling Katharsis Delta gives you two Narayanas but will summon Shivans to the battlefield short time later, and the Narayanas will jump out due to the imminent threat.
Another example is the Hanuman call, which places the Hanuman in the center of the battlefield. Keep it alive for two minutes and it will call in the Eris and the Toutatis for a surgical strike on the Imperieuse.
Due to the difficulty to find a good balancing in this Battle-of-Endor-ish mission, the Atreus got a huge amount of hitpoints, while the Solaris is rather easy to kill - unless you take care of all inbound beam ships. The Solaris will also frequently take damage from debris and slash beams.
Lower difficulties give the player invulnerable allies like Samuel Bei as a Vishnan Seeker with beams, Simms and Ricardo Laporte on Alpha 2 and 3. To prevent cheese strats, all other ships follow a strict path and won't listen to player commands.
Depending on how you did during the mission, the Shivans and the Vishnans will decide to interfere more and more, eventually forcing an end to the mission by destroying either the Solaris or the Atreus.
Should the Solaris get destroyed, the Shivans will come for the player. There won't be a chance to escape.
It's also possible to play this mission as Vishnan or as Custos-X, which causes some different events to happen.
