11Even though I’ve eaten many poke bowls I don’t know if it’s poke like with a stick or poke like the first part of Pokémon. It doesn’t really matter how it’s pronounced though I suppose because it was very tasty and I cannot wait until the next time I’m blessed with the opportunity to eat another one.
My Pioneer Friday night magic event was alright though. I thought we would only play 3 rounds but we had enough players for 4 rounds. My first game was insane! On turn 2 I cast a Grisly Salvage that revealed boat, rat, boat, land, land. And turn 3 the Rat brought back boat that crashed in for 13 damage. Opponent scooped and then in game 2 I curved out again.
I thought to myself well I just need to do that for 3 more rounds and I’ll be opening up a Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer.
But then in round 2 i stole game one with a turn 4 unanswered rat and boat and in game 2 and 3 ran into grind games where I couldn’t find a boat and my opponent resolved several treasure cruises to dunk me with card advantage.
Round 3 I lost game 1 to a turn 4 neo formed Atraxa and I was shocked. Game 2 I got a turn 3 rat that brought back a chariot so I meowed my way to a game 3 then was grindy until my opponent neo formed an Atraxa to make my best possible record of the night 2-2.
Round 4 went like round 1. Can’t wait to do it all again!
