Frozen Synapse Prime - PS3 - Part 00 - Tutorial (Blind)
4This is a 2014 cyberpunk turn based strategy game developed by Double Eleven, it was included with PS Plus while back. It has an interesting twist on the turn based genre in that both you and your opponents turns happen at exactly the same time, so you have no idea what they will do. This makes for a nice challenge, especially considering the enemy AI is no slouch. Unfortunately the control interface is extremely unintuitive, at least on the PS3, and I struggled with it for pretty much the whole game. That's a shame because otherwise this is an excellent title with some well designed missions that really stretch your tactical thinking and it has one of the best electronic soundtracks I've heard for a while. It was the music and challenge that kept me going through to the end even though I was cursing the horrible clunky interface throughout. The cyberpunk story attached to it is OK too, though I wasn't always 100% on what was going on exactly, the tech featured in this world doesn't always make a lot of sense and isn't that well explained.
This is just the tutorial, but this playthrough will show every mission completed to the highest rank (gold rank) including all the painful planning stages. I will eventually be posting videos with just the outcomes and replays too, without the planning.
