A review & brief analysis of FSR 2, specifically the FSR 2.0 mod for Cyberpunk 2077 by "PotatoOfDoom" at Nexus Mods. AMD's Fidelity FX Super Resolution 2.0 is a seriously big deal and a MASSIVE improvement over the first iteration. It seems to use a temporal method of image reconstruction using information from previous frames to create a MUCH more detailed image, compared to 1.0 which seemed to use more of a smart sharpening filter to improve lower resolution video. It was a little better than native lower resolutions, but did NOT even come close to Nvidia's DLSS (until now). While it isn't quite as good as DLSS, it's important to note that FSR 2.0 does NOT need any specialized hardware like Tensor Cores (at least for current version), which is a big deal if you're playing on an older card whether AMD or Nvidia.
