Iridion 3D (GBA) Longplay - The Game Boy Advance's Most Impressive Launch Title!? ๐ฎ (4K60)
4A longplay of Iridion 3D on the Nintendo Game Boy Advance, developed by Shin'en and published by Majesco. It's fairly basic and straightforward but is extremely fun and also extremely difficult. Also features one of the best soundtracks I've EVER heard. It feels like one EPIC tech demo for the GBA, and I've been impressed by Iridion 3D since I was a kid! Actually, it makes sense, since Shin'en was formed by people in the "Demoscene", who would in fact make such artistic tech demos. Looks like it uses repeated frames that pan as you move to create a sort of full-motion video that would be impossible for the GBA to render in real-time. Awesome trickery to create a game like this! One major complaint I have about Iridion 3D is that it often feels like you get hit by things you thought you successfully avoided, adding significantly to the difficulty. Still, this is a MUST try if you want to see what was possible on the "lowly" Game Boy Advance when developers got creative with what they had!
