The gas turbine is part of the Greg's Tech mod. The gas turbine is like a more advanced version of the common Industrial Craft generator. The gas turbine produces 16 EU/t; whereas, the generator produces 10 EU/t. The gas turbine is not in FTB beta; however, it does appear in any version that uses a newer version of GregsTech such as the MindCrack modpack version.
The gas turbine requires either hydrogen or methane cells. This tutorial will show good ways to get this fuel and it will also give you ideas on how to automate the process.
