I didn't explain how to unlock The Torus since it's extremely easy to unlock, so I assume that everyone has it -- however, feel free to ask for help if that is not the case!

Early on I mention that Autofire is a "dangerous feature." If you're not careful, you'll find yourself wasting missiles or futilely firing beams into shields. When a weapon is set to fire, it'll appear red in the window. To cancel the shot, press the number of the weapon and RIGHT CLICK. I did this constantly with my ion bomb, but I forgot to mention it in the video.

I was exceptionally lucky in this playthrough -- honestly, apart from my own mistakes, it was pretty much a dream playthrough. So here's a quick rundown of your priorities when things don't go so fabulously:

For sure you want four shields and a lot of engine. If you're having a bad game and short on scrap, skimp on the final 3 engine bars.

For sure you want a Defense MK I. Of course, this is beyond your control -- sometimes you'll have horrible luck and never see one, and have to settle for a Defense MK II. If you see neither, consider getting a cloak, which will at least let you dodge 1 round of missiles.

To destroy things, I like to use a Drone Recovery Arm + preferably 2 attack drones, OR the following weapon combo:

- Starting Ion MK II weapon
- A good beam or laser weapon
- A bomb (preferably ion, but a breach bomb is great as well, and you can settle for a small bomb if life sucks)

In this playthrough I happened to hit BOTH of the offensive combos, which is why I absolutely shredded the final boss. However, you don't NEED such a powerful setup -- with less, you can still kill anything, just more slowly. And your shields + evasion + defense drone give you plenty of leisure to survive protracted battles.
