"EGO MACHINE" tells the story of Sweetie Bot, an extremely intelligent, lifelike, robotic pony designed by an egotistical super-genius with a lust for worldy acclaim and prestige. Sweetie, by design, is fully aware of her abilities and weaknesses, especially her immortality and lack of anything biological or natural. She is perpetually overcome with dread over her complete disconnection with her creator, other ponies, and the world around her as a whole. Her creator initially is unsympathetic to her plight, but later begins to contemplate and understand, and is himself overcome with dread, fear, and pain over the misery he's inflicted.
Now, what exactly is the remedy for this problem? Well, that's where the story gets a bit fuzzy... so I guess you'll just have to have a good listen and draw your own conclusions!
