After a month of hunting and going over 3x the shiny odds, I got a shiny Oranguru by doing random encounters in Glimwood Tangle. This is my first shiny in Pokemon Shield, which doesn't have the shiny charm. I used the recommended feature to boost the chances of getting a Ponyta, but in the end I got Oranguru. This is phase one of a hunt that might take a long time. But for now, I need to hunt Blissey and my Halloween hunts!
