Today we are going to talk about devs speaking on upcoming multiplayer
changes.
This video is part 2 of a 2 part series and it is strictly about
multiplayer because i do miss it a lot in my normal dev talk videos, so i
decided to make this video and the previous one specifically for
multiplayer players.
Also like i have stated before, i do not play multiplayer a lot, i mostly play
singleplayer so i will read out the statements and replies from the devs,
and will give my opinion at the end.

Here we go:
- We are going to start with a thread made by a player and then talk about
all the dev replies to this specific thread. Im going to read the post and put
it on the screen.
- First we have the devs stating that shock troops will get a slight speed
increase and other heavy infantry will get a slight decrease in speed in the
new patch. Also crush through for heavy weapons will be completed, which
allows a chance for damage to pass through a block. Devs also mention that the amount of throwing weapons available for classes are being lowered. These changes should help shock troops in the devs opinions.
- Second we have two replies from the devs.
First being to a player suggesting that heavy infantry should not have
throwing weapons. Devs state that was their idea, but other changes need to be made before they change and adjust heavy infantry perks. This is planned in the following patch.
Second player states that he thinks this is a good way of going about
changing and adjusting the classes and should result in less periods of
severe imbalance.
Devs reply and state that sever imbalance will not happen and that the player has the devs word on that.
- Third we have a player talking about a kiting issue with archers where
heavy infantry cant catch them and hopefully an archer speed nerf happens soon.
Dev responds that heavy infantry can catch archers if they chase consistently and that there is 3 other infantry classes that can catch archers. Also that heavy infantry cant be the solution for everything and every class, has to have weaknesses.
- Fourth we two replies from the devs to the same player.
The player first asks what the crush through changes are exactly and how
will that benefit shock troops.
Devs state in a reply that basically when heavy weapons are blocked, damage will still go through which benefits shock troops.
Second the player states that he wants all classes to be viable and to bring
the changes and eventually we will get there.
Devs reply that is what they are aiming for.
Okay so here is my take: Like stated before i dont play multiplayer but its
good to see more changes when it comes to it. I know multiplayer has a good fanbase and its good that the devs are speaking to the community and making changes the multiplayer community wants to see. Let me know if you guys play multiplayer and if these changes are good changes or could be better.
Lastly i am going to end this video in the same way i ended most update
and dev talk videos, i want to thank the developers for staying active and
bringing good changes. Some people are impatient and very negative on the forums, but me and a huge group of people understand that this is an
early access game and it takes time and patience on our part.
Also as an early access game, if you are playing on the beta, do not expect
the the gameplay to be stable, it is a beta branch meant for play testing and
reporting.
If you would like to play in a stable environment, please play on the stable
live patches of the game.
