DEVS Speak on New Patch, Misinformation & Code Refactor - Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord
DEVS Speak on Missing Features - https://youtu.be/D-FSFozRxM8
SCRIPT:
Today we are going to talk about devs speaking on the new patch,
misinformation, code refactor and more.

Here we go:
- First we have a thread post about a video on goblin racism, which is
obviously a joke, i watched it and it was quite good, will link the video
down below - https://youtu.be/TBG2uHD7TLg
Devs responded that they are currently tracking down all the offenders and
perma banning them as a solution to the original posters problem.
Good to see a little sarcasm out of the devs, and for anyone who still
does not get it, the devs are joking and no one is getting perma banned.
- Second we have a player making another negative thread with a lot of
false info about no changes being made. I have read the original thread
maker and saved you the trouble, nothing important was said.
The devs responded and stated that they have released small hotfixes, but as stated before, a huge amount of the devs time was occupied by the code
refactor. Also the devs state that the new patch is coming very soon.
Another player than replied that maybe today is the day and the devs
responded and stated that the patch is not dropping that soon.
Personally i have ranted about this in the past about people not being able
to do any research on what is being developed and then complain about no
updates, so i will not do another long rant, but here is the basics:
A code refactor is when the devs rewrite the games code into a simpler, more easy to use code to make future updates and changes easier to make. This unfortunately takes time, weeks and sometimes months and during this time, you cannot push updates. Very simple, i learned about it with one google search.
Now in terms of the release date of the new patch which is suppose to be
1.4.3, i personally think it will either be out by the end of this week
or next week by the way the developers have stated it, but we will see
what happens and i will make sure to cover it for you guys.
- Third we have another thread made by someone who buys a game without reading the huge Early Access Banner, then complains on what is missing when everything was stated before you hit buy.
The devs responded and stated that they were honest about the games state and even urged players to not buy it if they wanted a finished game. They still suggest to hold off if you want a full game. Also stated that a lot of changes have been made, but they know they are far from done before the final release of the game.
I agree 100 percent with the devs, they were honest, there is a whole essay
on the problems in the game posted right above the buy button on steam and people choose not to read it. In all honesty the devs should not even respond to these threads because it is the same 5 guys on the forums making them. I understand the devs do not want lies spread about them, so i understand the responses, but if these guys were banned, i promise not a single person would care and the forums overall would become a better place.
And for the guys on the forums, since i know some of them watch my channel from previous comments on me, i really hope you guys are under 16 year old, because if you are adults acting like this, i generally feel sorry.
- Fourth we have a community support answering if the code refactoring
is done because there is confusion if it is done or still being worked on.
The community support admin stated that he does not know if it is complete or not and it was not his intention to state it was done and get peoples hopes up.
I searched up and found the previous response made on the forum about the code refactor and expectations.
- So that brings us to our fifth response where the same community
support states that the team tries to send out the most stable branch that
was tested internally. Also due to the code refactor and other problems, the
new update has been postponed a lot. Also stated that he does not want to
give an approximate time range because that builds expectation.
I agree with the support guy and to be honest, if a deadline was made and
unfortunately missed due to some problems, you would see new negative threads pop up on the forums and thats another headache i think the devs do not want.
That is all the statements and replies for now and if anything new comes up, i will make a video and keep you guys informed.
Lastly i am going to end this video in the same way i ended most update
and dev talk videos, i want to thank the developers for staying active and
bringing good changes.
Also as an early access game, if you are playing on the beta, do not expect
the the gameplay to be stable, it is a beta branch meant for play testing and
reporting.
If you would like to play in a stable environment, please play on the stable
live patches of the game.
