Here we go:
- First we have a statement from the devs about a recent list posted on
reddit about missing features players would like to see from warband and
the viking conquest dlc.
Devs thank the players who posted the list and stated that it was one of the
best feedback lists they have seen. Devs then state that all of these are
very important, even the small fixes like being able to follow a party, but
are unsure about which ones will be added and not added. Devs also state that these would help the game drastically and raise the player count.
If you guys are interested in the list, i made a video yesterday going over
the list, link will be down below - https://youtu.be/Lw8lQ3hBj1M
Here is what i think, the devs are currently not focused on content, they
are focused on stability, fps, backend issues, bugs and all of that. Once
they are satisfied, they will start putting the priority on content and
depth. While it might take some time, that is just what it is, patience is
key.
- Second we have a player asking when the next beta will be released.
Also states that the devs promised to drop an update every 2 weeks.
Devs respond that no such promise was made, while they had a goal for weekly updates, devs wait on publishing new updates if they feel they need to. Also once internal testing is done and the update is stable enough, an update will be shared.
I have stated this before, since the devs made so many updates in such a short time frame from launch, players believe that updates will continue to go out at that same speed through the whole early access. Also i agree 100% with the devs, they should wait on updates they deem to be unstable and release when they are ready. Also i think rushing the devs to drop content isnt a good thing at all, rushing leads to mistakes and more future headaches.
- Third we have another player asking for a approximate time range
such as a week or month and also states that there has been no new content or fixes in 4-5 weeks.
Devs respond that an approximate time range should be given when there is good foundation to make an estimate. Pretty much if the devs knew exactly when it was being released, then they would share the date.
Devs also state that they prefer to share updates when they are ready,
the current update was not ready and some problems arose, so that is why
there is a delay.
Also the player mentioned that he is a modder of the game and spent a lot of time playing and cares for the game.
Devs respond that they are glad he enjoys it and that they were modders at
some too.
- Fourth we have a player speaking on a multiplayer map causing a lot
of crashes and a lot of players on the forum agreed.
Devs state that they have found the problem that was causing the crashes and that the map will be removed from the map pool temporarily.
Again i do not play multiplayer much but the devs found the problem and acted quick on a solution, map was removed 7 hours after the report was made, so i can appreciate the hussle.
- Fifth we have a player asking about another multiplayer problem. States
that he has played for two days straight and has not been able to play as the khuzaits in captain mode.
Devs state that khuzaits were temporarily disabled, but should be enabled now.
I remember that khuzaits were disabled in captain mode because they are
vastly overpowered, hopefully that was nerfed a bit or changed.
That is all the statements and replies for now and if anything new comes up, i will make a video and keep you guys informed.
Lastly i am going to end this video in the same way i ended most update
and dev talk videos, i want to thank the developers for staying active and
bringing good changes. Some people are impatient and very negative on the forums, but me and a huge group of people understand that this is an
early access game and it takes time and patience on our part.
Also an early access game, if you are playing on the beta, do not expect the
the gameplay to be stable, it is a beta branch meant for play testing and
reporting.
If you would like to play in a stable environment, please play on the stable
live patches of the game.
I have a video on how to revert to a stable patch, link will be down below
if you wish to change back - https://youtu.be/7G4KvZQeLcs
Hopefully this was informative, ask me any question and stay safe!
