And in 2002 Catharina-Amalia’s maternal grandparents had been forbidden from attending their daughter’s wedding because of their extremely close association with the Argentine Military Junta that oversaw widespread human rights abuses and the disappearance of as many as 30 000 political dissidents during the 70s and 80s. Not exactly a good look for the nation that hosts the court that tries war criminals.
