Another test, looking for the best compromise for quality for a 60FPS, 4K, HDR10 video of simulated fireworks in FWsim. The original software export has not great quality due to the posterization it leaves, so I post-processed it in After Effects. Export from FWsim done with 50% contrast and 63% glow, passed onto After Effects with HDR Compander, LUT, Cineon converter and exported via Media Encoder in H.265 HDR10. The test with this version is the bitrate, as this is a VBR 1pass, 7-10. There is some posterization artefact left, but they look much better than the original export.
