G-sync Works! Dell D2719HGF Monitor G-Sync Option
G-sync Works!!! Dell D2719HGF Monitor (Quick Test)
G-Sync compatible feature shown...
Recorded on a Galaxy s8 plus:
Quality is hard to spot the screen tears but it's there if you look at it. The G-sync On has No tears. What looks like hitches or jumps on screen is my camera... its smooth!!!
The screen shot quality is due to my cheap editing software so I apologize for that.
You can see the tearing on Gysnc off part just by looking at it. I couldn't tho making this as my software doesn't let me preview a non rendered frame but thankfully its there on video...
*Remember every monitor is different. Anything you read online at blurbuster etc is for that certain monitor they are testing on. It's a very good baseline tho...
So after more testing after this video was completed are as follows:
** The best settings so far for this monitor I can see on Blurbusters and testing is as follows Display Port Only:
1. Nvidia Control Panel/G-Sync compatible
Gsync: On
Vsync: On
2. RTSS Rivetuner
Set Frames limited to: 141hz (you test what's best) out of 144hz
3. Any Game you play on Game options:
Leave Vertical Sync etc OFF
With this NO G-Sync lag anymore...
Hi Friends,
with the Nvidia update as of Jan 15th G-sync now works with some Freesync Monitors. And Im happy to show that this Dell D2719HGF works as an option with the G-Sync compatible feature.
Pls look and read the following links to read up on what all these settings mean as I just show the basic to get you going and stop the screen tearing.
*You will also need to limit your frames to 141hz instead of 144hz thru Rivatuner or frame cappers to have lowest input lag. Read more at Blurbusters. They mention it.
But I encourage you to read up on all so you can have the best experience possible. Thx...
G-sync with Freesync monitors only works with a Display Port Cable. NOT HDMI 2.0. Also pls make sure you have a good cable as my Cable Matters 6ft 1.2dp does introduce the Out of Range bug. I am currently getting new cables to fix. See below for link.
