G Warrior - No Death Speedrun
3G WARRIOR is a retro hardcore action shooting game that came out this year.
It's a solid entry in the Run n Gun genre with a nice selection of characters, classic weapons like spread guns and the extremely hidden and absolutely broken homing gun.
A game modeled in a 8 bit style with classic music, sounds and Jiggle physics? Sign me up.
This is a No Death Playthrough with the Female character Guren Souki on Normal mode that's also kind of a Speedrun in under 29 minutes at 19:33:56.
Run Starts at :46
Area A is a basic forward moving snow stage with large tractors to destroy.
I take out the boss by grabbing a bomb/power up capsule and the B weapon, which kills him very quickly.
Area B is an inner body type of stage and begins with 1 of 2 auto scrollers in the game.
I take it slow through the platforms at 3:39.
This game has bad cycles sometimes.
I grab the 2nd bomb power up here at 4:01 and save it so I can get an extra pod that fires the broken homing gun, which is acquired by waiting until an enemy spawns and grabbing the secret fox at 4:21.
Hidden Chicken at 4:50.
Watch out for the snakes coming out of the sides during the boss.
The homing missile makes short work of the boss before the final attack even starts. yay.
5:30 - Didn't even make the splits. This is the slow stage.
Area C. The Jungle Stage. Watch for the ambushing soldiers and ground guns.
6:52 - with the homing missile you can just walk through the pink alien spawn points.
The boss dies quickly with the missiles so you will not see the whole pattern here.
7:37 - the projectiles are random and can sometimes result in an un-avoidable death.
8:13 got my fastest time ever.
Area D (double D, lol) is the Energy Zone Knockoff stage. Music is a bit too mellow but I like it.
9:23 - Secret bullet or something naughty?
9:36 - These are very tricky, gotta go fast.
10:09 - These flaming platforms are a nightmare, cause the homing gun never shoots the right things.
Very easy final boss but watch for falling fire.
Area E: The big auto scroller, homing or spread is almost necessary.
14:04 - Fun bating the bullet horde with some tricky placement.
14:21 - Secret, antlers?
14:55 - What is the robot boss saying?
15:21 - I love this little game of chicken you play with him where he appears behind you.
16:00 - Watch my feet here, they are supposed to be moving...
Final Area F.
16:32 - I grab the early bomb powerup and go to town.
17:30 - Midboss is very easy thanks to the homing gun, just watch for that odd projectile.
19:32 - I save the invulnerability from the bomb for later.
20:16 - This is what killed me last run when I found out that you can cancel out of a crouch.
20:22 - Use the shield to clip through the projectiles and get in position to dodge the next attack.
21:22 - Oh crap, oh crap, oh crap!
21:38 - Safe Spot
22:00 - It's so easy to get clipped here, lost several runs to this.
Finally done. Overall this is fun and challenging game and there are 4 difficulty modes too.
I picked it up for 5 bucks, Really enjoyed this one.
