2So it seems EA *finally* has relented on their plans for microtransactions within Star Wars Battlefront 2. The uproar over the last week or so has been too consistent and too strong to avoid. First it was revealed that it could take some 40 hours to unlock some of the highest characters in the game like Luke and Darth Vader. Then EA claimed to have reduced the time but also turned around and lessened each match reward. That still left a pay to win aspect in the game of buying loot boxes to circumvent the grind. After seeing a thread on Reddit gain the most negative votes in history coupled with many people backing out of their pre-orders, EA finally caved and claimed to have disabled the transactions in game...."fow now"
