GALAR NEEDS TO BE MORE CREATIVE WITH ITS MINE NAMING SCHEMES -- Pokemon Shield Level Locke Ep 9
Skip Intro: 0:54
Welcome to my Pokemon Shield Level Locke! I will be playing through Pokemon Shield using a variation of a Nuzlocke playthrough. The rules are listed below:
1. If a pokemon faints, it is considered dead and can no longer be used.
2. All pokemon must be nicknamed to encourage forming an emotional bond.
In addition to these normal nuzlocke rules, a Level Locke adds on 3 additional rules:
1. My Pokemon team members are randomly assigned at the beginning of the series. I can only catch these randomly selected 6 pokemon throughout the entire game. The only exception to this rule is the beginning of the game. Assuming one of the team members is not a starter, any starter can be chosen and has to be the only pokemon used until the first legal team member can be caught. Then the starter must be put in the PC going forward and cannot be used afterwards.
2. The number of levels gained by all team members (including the starter) is the scoring system for this game style, with the goal of getting the lowest score possible. The difference between a team member's current level and the level it was obtained at is the pokemon's current score. Once the champion has been defeated, each team member's score will be added together along with the starter's score and any penalties to get a final score.
3. If a pokemon faints, I have one of three options: a) I can revive the fainted pokemon and take a penalty equal to the fainted pokemon's current score. b) I can take a 10 point penalty and choose to select a new randomly generated team member. c) I can choose to leave the pokemon dead, take no penalty, but have a permanently empty slot on my team. If I choose option c, I can retroactively change my choice to option a or b, but the same penalties will still apply.
I hope to play through the entire game and defeat Leon to become the champion while getting the lowest score possible! I hope you enjoy and if you want to watch more content consider liking and subscribing!
