GAME DESIGN: Final Fantasy X - How to Design Useful Characters
Hello everyone! First video for #JRPGJULY - Woo!
This week we discuss how Square made some design choices in Final Fantasy X which helped strenghten the player's connection to the character and overcome a pitfall in other JRPGs - useless characters. The way characters such as Wakka are designed to take down particular enemies to the way characters that join later in the party are first introduced there are some smart game design happening in Final Fantasy X.
