Game Dev Story is another casual business Simulator out of the house of Kairosoft and even if that sounds bad, it isn't at all. The Games are good and have their little differences, but in the core they are very similar. One similarity is, that it's hard to put them down. I already played through the Campaign on Mobile, but still decided to buy the Game for PC (or the Steam Deck).
Most people who hear the word mobile game, probably think of cashgrab apps, buy boosts here, emeralds/coins there, but all the Kairosoft Games didn't do that. You bought the Game and it was a full Game without any boosters to buy, or to buy anything additional in general.
I think this is also a reason why i like these Games.

Back to business, to the Game Developing Business. You start as a little studio with yourself (the boss that seemingly never works) and you got two people hired but also two empty seats. You check for the professions that the two people got and look for the professions that you need to fill. So you start the Game by hiring two more people. After that is done, you can start developing your first game. You start with a handful of themes and game types and should pick carefully if these do match. So a Golf Quiz, might not be the best game to start with.

Once you started developing a Game, you got three stages.
First the writing for the Idea and Story
Second the graphics
Third the sound/music
If the combination is good, you will make a profit from your game and gain experience.

That's pretty much the basics, it's a bit more in detail, but i don't want to write too much.
