Virtua Unlimited Project is basically MegaMan Zero. It's a 2D Platformer, where you shoot and slash your way through the Stage and defeat the boss at the End of each stage. Defeating the Boss unlocks a new ability that you can use on your future missions.
For the most parts the levels look great and also got a great level design. Every level feels handcrafted, and got some secrets in it, that you might get later, when you unlocked certain abilities.
At such optional level parts you can find powerup that increase your Health or Energy Meter, but also collectibles, that fill your Database.
In between each missions (stages), you can talk to a number of npc's, but they don't always have something new to say. But speaking to them is mostly optional, except you're in a Story Sequence.

The movement mechanics are good (not perfect), you have a different set of movement options you can use but it also is wise to charge your weapons. So in instances where you might need to use your skill, you can't so easily keep your weapon charged. Another thing i like to do and which i also did later in the Video, was to exchange the Main a Sub Weapon. Since i rather shoot enemies from afar, than to slash them with your sword. This makes it also easier to hold the attack button to charge. At the point where you can buy the Auto Charge Module, i can recommend to buy it. As soon as you got it, the problem with the controls are gone.
