First up, my game opinions are my own, just as yours is yours. Everyone has games they like that others do not. That is why using reviews should never be used 100% in your decision to buy a game (or anything for that matter)
Use your own common sense and look at what you are buying before you do so and use reviews as a last (I'm on the fence) deal breaker. This is how I do it.
