On it's own merits Lords of Shadows Mirror of Fate is a pretty decent game. It takes elements of games like Rondo of Blood or some of the retro Castlevania games and combines them with the exploration elements of a game like Symphony of the night. The problem is that it doesn't do either side good enough in comparison to Rondo of Blood, Dawn of Sorrow and so on. It would be a better received game if it did have the Castlevania game, but I still like it. I give it an 8 out of 10.
