R.U.S.E. is a gem of an RTS from the rarely-featured macro-RTS subgenre. Instead of commanding lots of tiny units at once using split-second decision-making and high actions-per-minute (APM), you command armies at larger scales but with more automation. The game features lots of telegraphy using arrows and the card system (R.U.S.E.) to outsmart your opponent. The game has a heavy counter system to utilize these mechanics.

It's a really good RTS but unfortunately, you can't buy it on official platforms unless they're from left-over keys (you can buy Steam keys for a Russian Steam account for cheap (and play online still since it uses Steam Cloud) but it requires a VPN to set that up and you really want to use a separate account for that). Never mind that the DLC for extra operations and a faction are outrageously priced and impossible to find. Ubisoft refuses to sell games like RUSE, Hawx, and other titles because their licenses for military weapons ran out and it would understandably be too much money to be worth selling an old game. Maybe we can get a remaster at some point. I picked my copies up on a Steam sale ages ago and I still play this game often.

Relevant System Specs:
Radeon Asrock 6800xt 16GB GPU
Ryzen 9 5800x CPU
32Gigs of DDR4 3200mhz Memory
SATA III SSDs running over 10 gig networking via network share or an SSD locally depending on game compatibility, I may also be using a WD Black Raid 10 Array for smaller games/emulators.

OBS is running in the background recording at 1080p/60fps. This might and will often impact the framerate to a certain degree. Adobe Premiere renders the final video at 4k/60fps for Youtube as Youtube will heavily compress your video if you do not have a large, active viewer base and if your video resolution/framerate is below a certain threshold (Currently anything below 1440p 60fps or 4k 30fps gets heavily compressed). There also might be some color issues depending on whether or not I record in HDR. I need to fix this appropriately for my setup so some videos may have muted or washed-out colors. Apologies for this!
